Classes & Activities
As well as the venues for classes above there are lots of recreational centers run by the counties and private companies that offer very wide range of classes in all age groups.
Some of the best resources for finding out the details are Parktakes, which covers Fairfax County and Mclean Community Center and the Arlington County Brochures (the hard copy brochures are much easier to read so get on the mailing lists!)
There are lots of activities, very often free (although you need to register for many of them) seasonal and ongoing at many other venues in the area. There are several websites that have comprehensive lists and information, some of the best (but by no means all) are below
Events/activities across Virginia
Events/activities in Fairfax County
Events/activities in the Metro DC area
The public libraries also have very good activities, just check your local library website.
