The British Embassy Support Association (BESA) is a voluntary organisation, which aims to provide support to British Embassy and Government exchange personnel and those who accompany them.  We aim to welcome and get to know new members, provide relevant information and on-going social support through BESA sponsored groups and activities.

The Executive Committee

The executive committee organises a regular programme of events. There are coffee mornings, outings, Christmas parties for children, and welcome events for newcomers to the area.  It is also the responsibility of the Committee to represent its members to the Administrations.

Section Representation

Section representatives raise issues of interest to their section within BESA, welcome new arrivals, help with settling in, and ensure that the new arrival is contacted by their Area Rep. They may also provide an ongoing point of contact in case of any challenges faced in an overseas posting.

Area Representation

Consists of representatives of the main geographical areas in which Embassy families live. The area reps contact new arrivals to provide local information and introductions to other people in the area through organised meetings in their areas.
